Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains what information I collect when you use hiredaemon.com, how I use it, and the steps I take to keep it safe.

Information I collect

You can browse jobs on hiredaemon.com without an account. I collect personal information only when you create one. You can sign in with Google or with a one-time code sent to your email. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with hiredaemon. If you sign in with a one-time code, the only information saved is your email address.

When you buy a plan, I save the plan you chose and the details of your payment, such as the amount and Razorpay's reference for it. With the Pro plan, I also save the job preferences you choose during setup, such as your country, job type, cities, and job titles, and the CV you upload. When you mark a job as applied on your dashboard, I save that too.

Your CV

Your CV is used only for job matching. I save the file you upload, and the text read from it, in private storage tied to your account. To find jobs that match, the text of your CV is sent to OpenAI, whose AI compares it with job descriptions. hiredaemon asks OpenAI not to keep your CV in its stored responses, and OpenAI doesn't use data sent this way to train its models. Your CV is never sold or shared with anyone else, and it's never sent to employers. I may look at your CV only to investigate a problem with your matches or to answer a support request.

When you upload a new CV, it's used for matching from then on, and your previous CV is no longer used.

Payments

Payments are processed securely by Razorpay. Your card and banking details go directly to Razorpay and are never seen or stored by hiredaemon.

Use of information

I use your email address to sign you in, confirm your purchases, send you job alerts if you have a Pro plan, and provide customer support. When provided by Google, your name and profile picture are used only to identify your account within hiredaemon. I don't send marketing emails, and I never sell your information.

Services I use

hiredaemon relies on a few trusted services. Cloudflare hosts the website and stores its data, OpenAI provides the AI used for job matching, Amazon Web Services sends emails, Razorpay processes payments, and Google provides Google sign-in. Each one gets only the information it needs to do its job.

Cookies

hiredaemon uses a cookie to keep you signed in. It doesn't use advertising cookies.

Your choices

You don't need an account to browse jobs. An account is needed to buy a plan, because your plan, job preferences, and CV are saved to it. If you'd like your account and its data deleted, including your CV, contact me through the contact us page.

Policy changes

I may update this policy from time to time. If I make significant changes, I'll post a notice on the website. Your continued use of hiredaemon.com means you accept the updated policy.
